Meet Ellie, our color-coding–obsessed founder and the creative mind behind ToneTabs™.

Ellie began her hairstyling journey in 2011, where she quickly fell in love with the art and science of hair color. Over the years behind the chair, she discovered a not-so-glamorous truth: keeping her favorite toners — especially her beloved Redken Shades EQ — organized was harder than creating the perfect formula.

Armed with a passion for color and an eye for order, Ellie started labeling her bottles with hand-written colored stickers. It worked… kind of. But after years of buying and scribbling on stickers, she had a lightbulb moment:

“I can’t be the only stylist who wants an easier, better-looking way to stay organized.”

And just like that, ToneTabs™ were born — a simple, stylish solution that helps stylists instantly spot color families, stay organized, and keep their stations as polished as their work.

Created by a stylist, for stylists, ToneTabs™ are inspired by the everyday behind-the-chair hustle.
